Intimate Lake Dillon Wedding in Breckenridge

Sydnee and Korie are the definition of quiet, intentional energy. Their intimate Lake Dillon wedding day reflected that so beautifully. It was an ideal fall day in Breckenridge—crisp air, sunshine, golden aspens, not too cold, not too warm… truly the Goldilocks of wedding weather.

Sydnee had put so much thought into every detail ahead of time (and when I say this girl had a vision… she had a vision). But because she was so on top of things beforehand, she actually let go the morning of. And everything unfolded exactly the way she’d hoped.

One of my favorite moments from the day was her first look with her dad. You could feel all the years leading up to that moment sitting right there between them. And instead of a traditional first look with Korie, they opted for a first touch. Simple and sweet.

Golden Moments at Their Lake Dillon Wedding

Their ceremony was a sweet, quiet gathering. Sydnee walked with her pup, trotting proudly beside them. Their families gathered close, the lake behind them was calm, and the mountains wrapped around the whole moment. It was intimate in a way that can’t be replicated.

After they said their vows, we headed up to Blue Lakes for the part Sydnee had been dreaming of—photos at the notorious rock. And it never disappoints. The sun dipped behind clouds, casting everything in this golden-blue glow.

And of course, the Super 8 film rolled through all of it. Something about the grain, motion, and little imperfections all made their day feel like a classic family memory being made in real time.

A Luxury Mountain Retreat & the Story That Brought Them Together

Sydnee and Korie spent their wedding weekend tucked away in the most gorgeous luxury mountain mansion. It became the heart of their day: everyone getting ready there, their first touch on the front steps, the cozy dinner, the cake-cutting, and even their first dance with their dogs weaving in and out. The house gave the day this grounded, homey comfort, while still being beautiful enough to match those insane mountain views.

These two met while working in the Oilfield. They went from long days, hard work, and crossing paths in an industry that isn’t exactly built for romance… all the way to this quiet mountaintop moment. Their whole wedding was like a reflection of who they are together. It was a day that didn’t need anything extra, and Sydnee and Korie got to start their marriage just being fully themselves in a place that felt like magic.
