The best time of year to elope in Alaska
One of the coolest things about Alaska is the incredible range of seasons you can experience throughout the year!
In the summer, you’ll enjoy warmer temps, foggy weather, meadows bursting with beautiful Fireweed, walkable glaciers, and long daylight hours.
By September, the leaves start to change, the weather gets a bit chillier, and you might even see a dusting of snow. Fall in Alaska is short but stunningly vibrant!
Winter is the longest season here, and even though daylight hours are limited, there’s still plenty to do. It’s a great time to elope in a winter wonderland with activities like snowmobile safaris and husky sledding. Plus, you might catch a glimpse of the northern lights!
Where to elope in Alaska

Alaska is full of breathtaking hikes and mountain passes that are perfect for an elopement. One of my favorite spots is Hatcher's Pass, where you can enjoy lush green valleys, wildflowers, and fresh mountain air.
