Journey and Bristol’s Boreas Pass Colorado elopement was everything you imagine when you think of the word ‘elopement‘. It was just the two of them, in the mountains, fully immersed in the moment together. They wanted artful imagery for their special day, and they shared and unforgettable experience, capturing amazing photos together!
Intimate Boreas Pass Colorado Elopement Ceremony
Journey and Bristol’s day began with meeting me at Boreas Pass. They walked into an open field with breathtaking mountain views and exchanged vows to one another. They brought a polaroid camera and captured sweet photos, including shots of each other holding up their hands to show off their rings – such a cute touch! The bride wore a stunning Jenny Yoo dress paired with a beautiful bouquet by Double Double Floral, while the groom kept is classic in a black suit.
When I asked why they chose Boreas Pass for their Colorado elopement, they shared that they loved the views. The texture of the mountains, trees, and fields were key factors in their choice. They were also drawn to the feeling of being a small part of the world, with Mother Nature as their witness to their love– which I thought was the sweetest sentiment! For those unfamiliar, Boreas Pass is located in the Rocky Mountains of central Colorado, near Breckenridge and Como.

After their ceremony and portraits, we continued further up the trail and captured some cute photos of them walking together. The golden aspen leaves were still hanging to the trees, and the sun was shining! Journey and Bristol also packed the cutest picnic with champagne and a charcuterie board of fruit, meats, and even a slice of cheesecake! It was so sweet watching them toast with champagne as they took in the mountain views together.
