Telluride, Colorado Elopement on Last Dollar Road

Bride and groom admiring the mountains during their Telluride Colorado elopement

Everything about Ashley and Beau’s Telluride, Colorado elopement on Last Dollar Road just made sense. It was intimate, intentional, and full of so much love. Ashley and Beau thrive on adventures in the wilderness, so eloping in the mountains felt perfect.

As a Colorado elopement photographer, some night think that after a while, you’d get tired of capturing elopements. I’m here to say that’s just not true. There’s something special about each and every elopement I capture, and this one was no different!

Getting Ready Together at Their Airbnb Cabin in San Miguel County, Colorado

Ashley and Beau got ready together for their Telluride, Colorado elopement at their beautiful Airbnb cabin, Wild West Within Reach, in San Miguel County, Colorado. It was the perfect place to stay—a saddle-notch style cabin offering a rustic mountain experience!

Beau and Ashley also brought meaningful details from their Vermont roots, like maple syrup, copper mugs, and a bottle of fine bourbon. These details may seem small, but they truly make all the difference in making your elopement experience unique and personal.

I absolutely love when couples get ready together because it allows for more intimate moments that you don’t typically share during a traditional wedding. For Ashley and Beau, that meant helping each other getting dressed and ready for the day.

Ashley + Beau’s Intimate Telluride, Colorado Elopement Ceremony at Last Dollar Road

After getting ready together at their Airbnb cabin, we headed out to their beautiful Telluride, Colorado elopement ceremony location. Sweet Beau didn’t stop crying the entire time, which made me cry almost the whole time too—haha! It was one of the most emotional ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed, and I literally can’t believe I get to experience these moments. IT NEVER GETS OLD, ever, and it truly blows my mind.

After their ceremony, they went back to meet their two Australian Shepherds, Aspen and Loki, who helped sign their marriage license. One of the many great things about eloping in Colorado is that your fur babies can sign your marriage license with their paw print!

Pizza, Bourbon, and Watching The Sun Set Over Telluride

After signing their marriage license, we headed out for a pizza and bourbon dinner in the mountains! Watching the sun set over Telluride and smelling the fresh pine and campfire smoke around us was the perfect way to end the evening in the San Juans. Ashley and Beau’s top priority on their wedding day was staying true to themselves, and I think they did just that, creating a memorable experience that will last a lifetime.

When I sent Ashley their sneak peaks from their Telluride, Colorado elopement, she responded, ‘disgusting’—LOL. It’s something I always say to my couples when I think something is jaw-droppingly gorgeous, so we had built a fun rapport that I just loved. Then she added, ‘but seriously, holy shit. they are gorgeous and YOU are amazing.’ Capturing Ashley and Beau’s Telluride, Colorado elopement was a dream, and I’m so honored that they chose me for it!
